Black + White | Gold Coast Girl

This past weekend, the sun finally made an appearance in Chicago and Sam (of Gold Coast Girl Blog) and I took advantage of the rising temps and put on some skirts and snapped some pics! It was so nice to get together with Sam and chat about what we are looking forward to most in the coming (warm) months. We met up at the Museum of Contemporary Art and I think the crazy, colorful background is a perfect contrast to our black + white looks (don’t you?!)
My look:
Skirt: Target // Top: Madewell // Tights: Gap // Necklace: c/o Armed + Readi // Bracelet: c/o Armed + Readi // Booties: Nordstrom // Bag: H&M
Sam’s look:
Top: Forever 21 (old) //  Skirt: Madewell // Sunglasses: Anthropologie // Bag: Cocobella (old) // Booties: French Connection // Bracelet: Vintage

1.What made you start a blog and how long have you been writing for?
I have always had an obsession with fashion ever since I was little. I am a huge fan of reading fashion blogs so one day I just went for it and decided to start my own. I wanted to express my own voice, style, and creativity. My blog is only about 4 months old so it is a total work of progress, but I have really grown to love it.
2.What’s your favorite/most rewarding part about blogging?
I think the most rewarding part of this whole experience has been all the positive feedback I have been getting. I have so many friends + strangers that have instantly become fans. Another exciting element has been meeting and collaborating with new people (like you!) who have the same interests as me. I also recently joined some Chicago blogging networks and have been going to a lot of exciting events.
3.Where are your favorite places to shop in Chicago and also online?
In Chicago I am all about: Zara, Topshop, Bloomingdales, H&M, J. Crew, Club Monaco, Intermix, Sophia Boutique, and Anthropologie
Online I am loving: Shopbop, C. Wonder, ASOS, Piperlime, Bauble Bar, and Net-a-porter
4.How would you describe your style?
I love all things black, gold, leopard, sequined, and hot pink. I feel like my style is a mix of preppy + feminine with a splash of edge.
5.What are you most looking forward to wearing for spring?
This spring I am all about graphic prints. I love my black, but want to start pushing myself into incorporating more pops of color + patterns into my wardrobe. I am ready for this Chicago winter to end so bring on the warmer weather and bring on the color!
